Epcot Center

Today (1-20-2000) Miss Berg and I went to Epcot Center. The building was awesome. But, I was not impressed with the rest of it. It was expecting to learn about cultures and other countries really it was just a way to buy things. Also, it was about fifty degrees so I was cold and tired. Ask Mr. Spencer how I do when I am cold and tired. It is not pretty! Hopefully, tomorrow I will have more information for you. Remember to answer the questions in the last blog and I'm so proud of you guys for being so good for Mr. Spencer and Mrs. Brown. Keep it up.

Disney World

Disney World

Today (1-20-2009, Monday) Miss Berg and I went to Disney World. We spent the whole day and we were only able to visit two parks. We saw the Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom. The Disney property in Orlando is the size of one major U.S. city. Tell me, what major city that is.

The Animal Kingdom is broken up into the two continents of Asia and Africa. After looking at the pictures comment on this blog and tell me some animals that are from Asia and some that are from Africa.

I am having a very good time. The weather is great, Miss Berg is awesome. I will be seeing the rest of my friends soon and you will be seeing them in pictures very soon. Remember to be very good for Mrs. Brown and Mr. Spencer, I know you will. I miss you all but, I know you will have a great time without me. Don't forget to study your spelling!

1st Day in Florida-Kennedy Space Center

Hello Everyone,
Today (1-18-2009) was my first day full day in Florida, I got here at 11:00 (eastern time) last night. What time was that in Perrydale?

Today we went to the Kennedy Space Center, and Cocoa Beach. Has it always been called Kennedy Space Center? I learned so much at the Kennedy Space Center. I got to see the space shuttle Explorer, full sized rocket boosters, the actual Mercury and Gemini capsules. We went into a space simulator where it felt like you were in zero gravity, it was awesome! What year did the shuttle Explorer launch to space and what was its mission? We also saw the Saturn V Rocket, it was huge!

We went to another part of the facility where they launch the shuttles. We got to see the launch and Landing pads and the and Cape Canaveral. I saw the machine that takes the shuttle to the launch pad, it gets 45 feet of gas per gallon. How much gas does the average car get per gallon? They will be launching another shuttle to the Space Station in February.

The last stop was to a building housing the Apollo 8 Shuttle which was the first launch of a Satturn V rocket. You would not believe the size! In this building I actually got to touch a moon rock! And, see a Lunar Rover. What Apollo Mission was the first to land on the Moon? There was so much more to the Kennedy Space Center! I bought the class a book to look at and read when I get back.

While we were driving I saw an alligator and an armadillo on the side of the road. Can you believe that? Right on the side of the road!

I miss you guys,

Miss Spencer
